Emergency Management in Boulder

Communities on the Front Range of Colorado are susceptible to a number of natural and man-made hazards including but not limited to floods, wildfires, droughts, tornadoes, high wind events, winter storms, pandemics, crime, and more. It is critical that Boulder County and its residents are informed, prepared, and proactively taking necessary steps to mitigate or reduce their risk.

In the event of a disaster, the Boulder Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is prepared with  a diverse range of resources to help the County respond and recover.  The Emergency Operations Center and the Incident Management Team (IMT), for example, have the capabilities to support large-scale emergency logistics and operations. The Boulder Incident Management Team (IMT) is a partnership of professionals who are trained and qualified in incident management.
